How You Can Get Involved in Battery Recycling and Start a Waste Collection Program

In regards to a 'Waste Collection Program' for batteries. The Battery Broker Environmental Services Inc. is pleased to be involved in the implementation of educating fellow employees of environmental awareness and offer the following to your questions.

If the wastes are to be continuously generated the Ministry of the Environment (MOE) requires the company or organization to file a Generator Registration Report. Canadian regulations currently state that generators dispose of battery waste on a timely basis.Every ninety (90) days.

In accordance with Subsection 18 (3) of Ontario Regulation 347, each generator (location) requires a generator registration document with a generator registration number and applicable waste numbers to produce, collect, handle, store or all transfers of subject waste.
